Thank you to Ashfield District Council who signed the charter on 15th March 2018 providing protection for their 602 employees.
Council Leader, Cllr Cheryl Butler, said:
“Ashfield District Council is proud to be signing the charter today. We are committed to supporting any employees who find themselves in the unfortunate position of being diagnosed as terminally ill. Signing the charter reinforces the message that Ashfield District Council are committed to its employees.”
Thank you to London Borough of Enfield Council who signed the charter on 13th March 2018 providing protection for their 3,000 employees.
Council Leader, Cllr Doug Taylor, said:
“It is only right and proper that people who are terminally ill should be supported and helped by their employer. The last thing you need to worry about when you are seriously ill is how your employer treats you. Enfield Council is committed to the welfare of its staff and the signing of this charter demonstrates that we are committed to doing everything we can to support our employees.”
Thank you to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service who signed the charter on 9th March 2018 providing protection for their 833 employees.
Spokesman, Judi Beresford, said:
“Our employees are our biggest asset in delivering an efficient and effective fire and rescue Service and it’s therefore important that we have the correct policies, procedures and health and wellbeing support in place to support them, specifically in times of crisis and ill health. “By signing the charter, we want to ensure any of our workforce who become terminally ill don’t have the additional stress of losing their job, as a result of their illness, and the charter allows us to offer that valuable peace of mind.”
Thank you to Carmarthenshire County Council who signed the charter on 9th March 2018 providing protection for their 7,700 employees.

By signing this Charter, we are providing the reassurance and peace of mind our employees need to help them through what is undoubtedly an already challenging and emotional time. It also allows us to promote and build on the policies we already have in place to ensure a flexible and supportive approach is taken at the end of an individual’s life.”
Thank you to Bombardier Transportation who signed the charter on 28th February 2018 providing protection for their 4,000 employees.

We are very pleased to be able to support the Dying to Work campaign and join other organisations in supporting those diagnosed with a terminal illness.”
Thank you to Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation who signed the charter on 13th February 2018 providing protection for their 5,400 employees.
Chief Executive of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS, Bev Humphrey, said:
“We are proud to sign up to the Dying to Work campaign. As a mental health trust it is vital that we provide our staff with as much support as possible during such difficult circumstances. If we can make life a little easier and take away any stress or worry about day-to-day life, we are happy to do it.”
Thank you to Treetops Hospice Care who signed the charter on 7th February 2018 providing protection for their 158 employees.
