Thank you to Cardiff Council who signed the charter on 12^th July 2017 providing protection for their 13,100 employees.

Leader of Cardiff Council, Cllr Huw Thomas, said:

Thank you to North Kesteven District Council who signed the charter on 15^th June 2017 providing protection for their 360 employees.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Wright, said:
“We care about our employees and take their health and wellbeing seriously. No-one having to deal with a terminal illness should have to worry about their employment. Their only concern should be for themselves and making sure they are receiving the care they need.”
Chief Executive, Ian Fytche, said:

Thank you to Nottingham City Council who signed the charter on 14^th June 2017 providing protection for their 5,500 employees.

Portfolio Holder for Community and Customer Services, Cllr Toby Neal, said:
“This is a positive step taken by the council to look after employees who become terminally ill at work. The Charter will provide people with job security and peace of mind when they need it most and they will know they have our full support. We are proud to have signed up to this charter and by doing so, we want to inspire other employers in the city to follow in our footsteps.”

Thank you to Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust who signed the charter on 8^th June 2017 providing protection for their 17,334 employees.

Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Dean Royles, said:
“This is another excellent initiative from the TUC and we are pleased to support it. We want to ensure we can be as compassionate and caring to our staff when they are faced with a terminal illness as they are to the patients we treat and care for.”

Thank you to West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service who signed the charter on 25^th April 2017 providing protection for their 2,011 employees.

Phil Loach, Chief Fire Officer, said:
“Each case is clearly very individual, so we provide flexible and compassionate support. We work closely with any staff member affected to support their decisions and ensure the best outcome for them, their loved ones and the organisation.”
Cllr John Edwards, Chair of West Midlands Fire and Rescue Authority, said:

Thank you to City of Wolverhampton Council who signed the charter on 24^th April 2017 providing protection for their 4,222 employees.

Cabinet Member for Public Health and Well Being, Cllr Paul Sweet, said:
“This is a positive step taken by the council to look after employees who become terminally ill at work. Our employees shouldn’t have to worry about their job security at such a time and should know they have our full support. We are proud to have signed up to this charter and hope by doing so, we inspire other employers in the city to follow in our footsteps.”

Thank you to Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service who signed the charter on 18^th April 2017 providing protection for their 950 employees.

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service, Becci Bryant, said:
“We are really pleased to sign-up to this Charter which strengthens our strong focus on employee welfare and wellbeing. Our employees are the heart of the Service and they can be assured that should they be unfortunate enough to experience a terminal illness we will do everything we can to support them and empower them to spend their remaining time as they wish.”

Thank you to Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council who signed the charter on 22^nd March 2017 providing protection for their 5,188 employees.

Leader of Dudley Council, Cllr Pete Lowe, said:
“Council workers are the driving force of this authority and as a community council we are committed to supporting them in good times and bad. We have signed up to the ‘Dying to Work’ charter as a pledge to our employees and we hope that other organisations and businesses will come forward to do the same.”

Thank you to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust who signed the charter on 21^st March 2017 providing protection for their 5,500 employees.

Director of Workforce and Organisational Development , Jose Fernandez, said:
“Pennine Care already supports staff who are terminally ill with care and compassion, but it is not explicitly outlined in a policy. By signing up to the charter, our staff can be sure that the Trust would provide them with proper protection and support if they were diagnosed with a terminal illness. It allows them to have peace of mind knowing their job is protected and the future financial security of their family is guaranteed.”

Thank you to Serco Group PLC who signed the charter on 20^th March 2017 providing protection for their 23,196 employees.

HR Director, David Cadger, said:
